Like groups, only better.
Most of us have become familiar with the whole hash tagging of messages in twitter. Twitter Teams works in the same way but we decided to throw in some extra spice to make it more fun. All you have to do is join the team and hash tag your tweet with the appropriate team hash tag and it will show up in the team chatter thread. If you are the captain of the team and have set up a Twitter account for your team, we'll use it to notify all opted-in members with a summarized direct message.
It's really simple, just put #[teamtag] in your message and it will show up.
(well, only if you are actually a member of that team)
Example: "#design What's the Twitter logo typeface?"
Once a day, we will send a direct message to all team members letting them know the number of messages that took place your group over the last 24 hours. You then have the option to come and check them out. Honestly, most of us just track the group code on Twitter so we get the messages instantly, but we wanted to give you the option.
It's a great way to track conversation inside your group. If you are the captain of a group and you go as far as setting up an account for your team, we'll use this account to send out the summaries and notifications to the members. Additionally, you have the option to mass direct message all of the members in your group. Captains, please don't abuse this privilege!
